Ouija Board
One of the 7 cursed possessions in the game. Allows communication with the entity at the cost of the player's sanity.
How it works
The Ouija Board is one of the 7 cursed possessions that can appear in the game. Its location is fixed on each map.
Communication: Used to communicate with the entity at the cost of the player's sanity.
Conditions: The player must be inside the investigation area to ask questions. Voice recognition or the text interface can be used.
Answers: A successful answer generates an EMF 2 reading (25% chance of EMF 5 if the entity has this evidence).
Deactivation: You must say "Goodbye" to safely deactivate the board.
Risks and destruction
The board breaks and triggers a cursed hunt if:
- No player is within 5 meters of an active board
- The player lacks enough sanity to pay for the question
- The phrase "hide and seek" is spoken
The board will then burn if a player is present in the location.
Tip: Taking a photo of the board after a successful question counts as an interaction photo (up to $5 and 5 XP).
